Manager- Engineering Utility API

Experienced Manager – Engineering (Utility API) responsible for managing utility engineering operations supporting Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing facilities. Skilled in handling utility systems such as HVAC, boilers, chillers, water systems, compressed air, and power distribution while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and energy efficiency. Adept at leading maintenance activities, utility optimization projects, equipment validation, and cross-functional coordination to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage utility engineering operations for API manufacturing facilities.
• Oversee maintenance and performance of HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressors, and water systems.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply and efficient functioning of plant utility systems.
• Monitor utility consumption and implement energy conservation initiatives.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead utility equipment qualification, validation, and calibration activities.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot utility-related issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Manage utility projects including installation, commissioning, and system upgrades.
• Maintain engineering documentation, maintenance records, and utility logs accurately.
• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for utility support.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.
• Prepare utility performance reports, maintenance schedules, and operational MIS reports.
• Mentor and guide engineering team members to improve operational efficiency and technical performance.
