Consultant Urology

Fortis Healthcare Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant – Urology to provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of urological disorders. The involves delivering advanced patient care, performing specialized procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of urological conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, uroflowmetry, cystoscopy, and imaging studies.
• Plan and perform urological surgeries including minimally invasive, endoscopic, and open procedures.
• Manage conditions such as kidney stones, prostate disorders, urinary tract infections, incontinence, and urological cancers.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care and monitoring.
• Handle urological emergencies such as acute urinary retention, trauma, and infections.
• Collaborate with nephrologists, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists for comprehensive care.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and surgical outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based clinical protocols and hospital guidelines.
• Participate in OPD consultations, IPD rounds, and surgical scheduling.
• Supervise junior doctors, residents, and urology staff.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and NABH standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, and academic activities.
• Stay updated with advancements in urology and surgical techniques.
• Support hospital initiatives for quality improvement and patient safety.
• Contribute to outreach programs, health camps, and awareness initiatives.
