OT Nurse

We are looking for an OT Nurse for the Operation Theatre department at Manipal Hospitals, Bengaluru. The candidate will support surgical procedures, patient preparation, sterile techniques, OT documentation, and coordination with surgeons and anesthetists. The requires nursing qualification, operation theatre experience, clinical discipline, and strong knowledge of OT safety protocols.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Prepare OT rooms, instruments, equipment, and consumables before surgery.
• Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical and procedural activities.
• Verify patient identity, consent, surgical site, and pre-operative checklist.
• Maintain sterile field and follow infection control practices during procedures.
• Support patient positioning, monitoring, and safe shifting to recovery areas.
• Handle surgical instruments and OT equipment as per safety standards.
• Maintain OT nursing records, surgical checklists, and procedure documentation.
• Coordinate with CSSD, recovery, ICU, ward, and anesthesia teams.
• Ensure availability of emergency medicines, equipment, and surgical supplies.
• Follow biomedical waste management and OT cleaning protocols.
• Monitor patient condition during perioperative care and report concerns.
• Assist in post-operative handover with complete patient details.
• Support inventory control of OT consumables and instruments.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and safety throughout OT care.
