Executive - Billing

The Billing Executive will prepare accurate OPD, IPD, procedure, diagnostic, pharmacy, and discharge bills while coordinating with clinical and non-clinical departments. The candidate should understand hospital billing workflow, tariff usage, approval process, patient communication, and billing software operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare OPD, IPD, emergency, procedure, diagnostic, pharmacy, and discharge-related bills accurately.
• Verify patient details, doctor charges, service charges, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and package billing entries.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, TPA, accounts, and administration teams.
• Explain billing details, estimates, payments, and bill breakups to patients or attendants professionally.
• Support discharge billing clearance and ensure timely completion of billing formalities.
• Maintain billing records, receipts, payment details, refund records, and daily billing reports.
• Identify billing errors, missing charges, wrong entries, or tariff mismatch and correct them promptly.
• Handle patient billing queries politely and escalate disputes to seniors when required.
• Use hospital billing software, Excel, printer, scanner, and office tools accurately.
• Follow hospital tariff rules, discount approvals, billing SOPs, and documentation standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
• Ensure accurate, transparent, and patient-friendly billing operations.
