QC Chemist (HPLC, GC)

The QC Chemist will be responsible for performing analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using HPLC, GC, and other analytical instruments. The involves ensuring accuracy in results, maintaining documentation, and supporting quality compliance in accordance with GMP/GLP guidelines. The candidate will work closely with QA and production teams to ensure consistent product quality and timely release.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using HPLC, GC, and other analytical instruments.
• Prepare mobile phases, standard solutions, and calibration curves as per test methods.
• Conduct method validation, method transfer, and system suitability testing.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and regulatory quality standards.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, chromatograms, and analytical reports.
• Perform calibration and routine maintenance of HPLC, GC, and related equipment.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results.
• Coordinate with QA and production teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Conduct stability studies and analyze results for product performance.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and samples.
• Participate in internal audits and support external regulatory inspections.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory reagents, columns, gases, and consumables.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe laboratory environment.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with documentation practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quality control processes.
