Job Description
Skilled Mechanical Executive (OSD) responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing mechanical equipment used in Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing operations. Experienced in preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, utility coordination, and compliance with GMP standards. Adept at ensuring smooth functioning of production machinery, minimizing downtime, supporting validation activities, and maintaining safety and engineering standards within pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment in OSD manufacturing areas.
- Ensure smooth operation of compression, granulation, coating, and packaging machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and resolve equipment-related issues promptly.
- Monitor machine performance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Execute maintenance activities as per SOPs, GMP, and engineering standards.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize disruption during maintenance work.
- Inspect mechanical systems, spare parts, and critical equipment regularly.
- Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new machinery.
- Maintain maintenance logs, equipment history, and technical documentation accurately.
- Ensure proper lubrication, calibration support, and routine servicing of machinery.
- Coordinate with vendors for repair, spare parts procurement, and technical support.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while handling mechanical systems and tools.
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in shutdown planning, utility checks, and engineering audits.
