Truseltiq

A drug used to treat adults with cholangiocarinoma (bile duct cancer) that is locally advanced and cannot be removed by surgery or has spread to other parts of the body. It is used in patients whose cancer has a gene fusion or other change in the structure of the gene and has already been treated. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Truseltiq blocks a protein called FGFR, which may help keep cancer cells from growing and may kill them. It may also prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow. Truseltiq is a type of tyrosine kinase inhibitor and a type of antiangiogenesis agent. Also called infigratinib phosphate.
