OPD Executives

Sunshine Global Hospital is seeking a proactive, patient-centric, and highly organized OPD Executive to efficiently manage outpatient department operations and ensure a seamless patient journey from registration to consultation and follow-up. The requires strong coordination, communication, and administrative skills to support doctors, patients, and hospital workflow effectively.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end OPD patient registration, scheduling, and appointment coordination.
• Ensure smooth patient flow in OPD by coordinating between patients, doctors, nursing staff, and support departments.
• Handle walk-in patients, appointment patients, and referral cases efficiently.
• Maintain and update accurate patient demographic and clinical records in hospital systems.
• Coordinate daily OPD doctor schedules, consultation timings, and room allocations.
• Assist patients with hospital processes including consultation, diagnostics, and follow-up visits.
• Manage billing coordination for OPD consultations, procedures, and investigations.
• Verify patient documentation including insurance, proofs, and referral letters.
• Coordinate with diagnostic departments (lab, radiology, etc.) for timely test scheduling and report delivery.
• Ensure timely entry and updating of patient data in hospital management systems.
• Monitor patient waiting time and take proactive steps to reduce delays and congestion.
• Handle patient inquiries regarding services, doctors, procedures, and hospital facilities.
• Provide guidance and support to patients for navigation within hospital departments.
• Manage token systems, queue management, and patient calling systems effectively.
• Coordinate with pharmacy, billing, and insurance/TPA desks for seamless service delivery.
• Assist in discharge-related coordination for day-care or OPD procedures if required.
• Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, data privacy policies, and service quality standards.
• Handle patient grievances professionally and escalate issues to supervisors when necessary.
• Maintain OPD reports, daily activity logs, and operational records.
• Support OPD audits and ensure documentation readiness for internal reviews.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-friendly OPD environment.
• Participate in training programs to improve patient handling and operational efficiency.
• Perform any additional administrative duties assigned by hospital management.
