Staff Nurse (ICU)

Sunshine Global Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Staff Nurse (ICU) to provide critical care support to patients in intensive care settings. The involves continuous monitoring of critically ill patients, assisting in advanced medical procedures, and ensuring strict adherence to ICU protocols and patient safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Continuously monitor vital signs and patient condition using ICU equipment.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and life-support treatments as prescribed.
• Operate and manage ICU equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
• Assist doctors during critical procedures including intubation, central line insertion, and resuscitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and nursing documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control practices and ICU protocols.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care to critically ill patients.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations.
• Coordinate with doctors and multidisciplinary teams for effective patient management.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and continuous observation.
• Educate and support patient families regarding ICU care and condition updates.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of ICU areas and equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste.
• Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in training programs and continuous skill enhancement.
