Microbiology Technician

The Microbiology Technician will process samples for microbiology testing, perform staining, culture, sensitivity support, serology, documentation, and biosafety compliance. The requires microbiology knowledge, laboratory discipline, quality control awareness, and coordination with microbiologists and clinicians.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Receive and process microbiology samples as per laboratory SOPs.
• Perform staining, culture inoculation, incubation, and sensitivity support.
• Maintain sample logs, culture records, QC entries, and equipment documentation.
• Follow biosafety, PPE, infection control, and waste disposal protocols.
• Report contamination, sample rejection, or abnormal findings to seniors.
• Support microbiologist in report preparation and validation workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of microbiology work areas.
• Ensure accurate and timely microbiology testing support.
