Intensivist

Shiv Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensivist to provide advanced critical care management for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing critically ill patients, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients with life-threatening conditions
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for ICU patients
• Monitor patient progress continuously and adjust treatment strategies as needed
• Manage ventilators, life-support systems, and other critical care equipment
• Perform and supervise critical procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with specialists, surgeons, and healthcare teams for multidisciplinary patient care
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and lead resuscitation efforts
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families regarding condition, prognosis, and treatment plans
• Maintain adherence to ICU protocols, infection control, and safety standards
• Participate in ICU rounds, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
• Train and supervise junior doctors, nurses, and ICU staff
