Job Description
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting activities including bookkeeping, invoice processing, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial documentation. The involves supporting finance and accounts functions, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with internal departments for smooth financial operations. The candidate should possess strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounting documentation.
- Process invoices, vouchers, receipts, and payment entries efficiently.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements, reports, and MIS documentation.
- Maintain proper filing and record-keeping of financial documents.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
- Support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance documentation.
- Assist in monthly and yearly account closing activities.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial data and records.
- Monitor outstanding payments and support follow-up activities when required.
- Assist in audit preparation and provide necessary accounting documents.
- Handle data entry and maintain accounting software records accurately.
- Verify bills, expense claims, and supporting documents before processing.
- Support payroll processing and reimbursement activities when required.
