The ICU Nurse will manage ICU nursing care, critical patient monitoring, medication safety, emergency readiness, ventilator support assistance, and nursing documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0–4 years of experience in ICU nursing, ICU, critical care, patient monitoring, and nursing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide continuous bedside care for critically ill patients in ICU.
- Monitor vitals, ECG rhythm, oxygen saturation, respiratory pattern, intake-output, pain level, and neurological status.
- Administer IV medicines, injections, fluids, oxygen therapy, and prescribed ICU nursing interventions safely.
- Assist intensivists and doctors during rounds, invasive procedures, resuscitation, and emergency care.
- Maintain ICU flow sheets, medication charts, nursing notes, procedure notes, and handover records.
- Support ventilator-related care, suctioning, catheter care, central line care, pressure sore prevention, and patient positioning.
- Report critical values, ventilator alarms, arrhythmias, low oxygen saturation, or clinical deterioration promptly.
- Coordinate with pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, blood bank, billing, and patient care services.
- Follow strict infection control, PPE, isolation, biomedical waste, and patient safety practices.
- Support patient shifting for diagnostics, ICU transfer, discharge, or emergency procedures.
- Communicate professionally with patients families as per hospital guidance.
- Ensure safe, disciplined, and compassionate ICU nursing service.
