The Ward Nurse will provide patient care, medication support, bedside monitoring, ward coordination, nursing documentation, and patient safety support at Fortis Hospitals, New Delhi. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0–7 years of experience in ward nursing, patient care, medication administration, and nursing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide complete bedside care to admitted patients in ward and assigned clinical units.
- Monitor vitals, oxygen saturation, pain level, symptoms, intake-output, and response to treatment.
- Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, oxygen, dressing support, and prescribed nursing care.
- Assist doctors during ward rounds, patient assessment, procedures, and clinical activities.
- Maintain patient care records, medication charts, nursing notes, and proper shift handover.
- Support admission, transfer, discharge, procedure preparation, and patient movement coordination.
- Report clinical changes, abnormal vitals, medicine reactions, or patient complaints to senior staff promptly.
- Coordinate with doctors, pharmacy, lab, radiology, billing, housekeeping, and patient support teams.
- Follow infection control practices, PPE use, hand hygiene, and biomedical waste rules.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, dignity, and professional communication.
- Guide patients and attendants regarding basic ward process and nursing instructions.
- Deliver safe, reliable, and patient-friendly ward nursing care.
