ECG Technician

ECG Technician is responsible for performing ECG procedures, preparing patients, operating ECG equipment, maintaining test records, and supporting cardiology diagnostic workflow. The requires ECG technician qualification preferred with 2 to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of ECG, cardiology support, patient handling, diagnostic assistance, communication skills, and healthcare documentation.

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform ECG tests as prescribed by doctors.
• Verify patient identity, test request, and clinical details before procedure.
• Prepare patients for ECG and explain the test process clearly.
• Position electrodes correctly to obtain accurate ECG recordings.
• Operate ECG machine safely and maintain good-quality tracings.
• Identify basic technical issues during ECG recording and correct them promptly.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and diagnostic teams.
• Maintain ECG records, test logs, and patient documentation.
• Support emergency ECG requirements for ICU, ER, OPD, and ward patients.
• Monitor patient comfort during the procedure and report discomfort if observed.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of ECG equipment and procedure area.
• Follow infection control and patient safety practices.
• Report equipment malfunction or technical issues to seniors.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient reports and diagnostic information.
• Deliver accurate, timely, and patient-friendly cardiology diagnostic support.
