Registrar - Critical Care Medicine

The Registrar - Critical Care Medicine will manage ICU patient care, intensive care support, emergency stabilization, ventilator monitoring, anaesthesiology coordination, and critical care documentation at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. This requires MD, DNB Critical Care, Anaesthesia, or Medicine qualification with 3–8 years of experience in critical care medicine, OPD, intensive care, emergency medicine, anaesthesiology, and critical care.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and manage critically ill patients in ICU, emergency, and high-dependency areas.
• Monitor vitals, ventilator settings, oxygenation, ABG, urine output, lab reports, and organ support needs.
• Assist intensivists and consultants during ICU rounds, invasive procedures, resuscitation, and critical reviews.
• Support airway management, oxygen therapy, ventilator care, hemodynamic support, and emergency stabilization.
• Manage critical conditions such as sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, and neurological deterioration under guidance.
• Maintain ICU case sheets, progress notes, medication charts, procedure records, and handover documentation.
• Coordinate with ICU nurses, emergency doctors, anaesthesia, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and billing teams.
• Identify early warning signs and escalate patient deterioration immediately.
• Ensure infection prevention, ventilator care bundle, catheter care, and medication safety compliance.
• Support safe transfer, discharge, and diagnostic movement of critical patients.
• Counsel relatives under consultant supervision with clarity and empathy.
• Provide alert, structured, and patient-centered critical care support.
