API Production Chemist

The API Production Chemist will be responsible for supporting active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing activities in the API Production department. This requires 12th or any degree qualification with 0–10 years of experience, knowledge of chemical production operations, GMP practices, batch processing, equipment handling, and safety compliance. The candidate will support smooth, safe, and quality-focused API production activities at MSN Laboratories, Hyderabad.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out API production activities as per approved batch manufacturing records and SOPs.
• Operate reactors, centrifuges, dryers, filters, and other production equipment safely.
• Support charging, reaction monitoring, filtration, drying, milling, sieving, and material transfer activities.
• Record process parameters such as temperature, pressure, time, pH, and yield accurately.
• Follow GMP, GDP, safety, hygiene, and contamination control practices during production.
• Ensure correct raw materials, intermediates, solvents, and batch details are used.
• Maintain production logbooks, equipment usage records, cleaning records, and batch documentation.
• Report process deviations, abnormal observations, equipment issues, or safety concerns to seniors.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, QA, QC, engineering, stores, and safety teams.
• Support line clearance, equipment cleaning, area readiness, and changeover activities.
• Handle chemicals, solvents, and production materials using proper PPE and safety procedures.
• Minimize material wastage, process errors, and production delays through disciplined work.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of production area and equipment.
• Support audit readiness by following documentation and compliance requirements.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and timely API manufacturing operations.
