Resident Emergency

Fortis Healthcare Limited is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Resident – Emergency to provide prompt and efficient medical care in the emergency department. The involves rapid assessment, stabilization, and management of patients presenting with acute and life-threatening conditions while ensuring high standards of clinical care.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Provide immediate medical care for acute illnesses, injuries, and trauma cases.
• Perform initial stabilization and life-saving interventions.
• Handle medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and shock.
• Perform procedures like suturing, intubation, IV line insertion, and wound management.
• Coordinate with consultants and specialists for further patient management.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to clinical deterioration promptly.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and emergency documentation.
• Assist in managing mass casualty incidents and disaster situations.
• Ensure adherence to emergency protocols and hospital guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients and relatives regarding treatment plans.
• Coordinate with nursing and paramedical staff for efficient patient care.
• Ensure smooth admission or transfer of patients to appropriate departments.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols in the emergency department.
• Participate in shift duties, including night shifts and on-call responsibilities.
• Assist in medico-legal cases and maintain proper documentation.
• Participate in clinical audits, training, and emergency drills.
• Stay updated with advancements in emergency medicine and resuscitation techniques.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and ethical medical practices.
