Ward Secretary

The Ward Secretary will be responsible for ward administration, patient file coordination, admission-discharge documentation, interdepartmental communication, report follow-up, and clerical support at Royal Care Hospitals, Coimbatore. This requires B.A., B.Com, or BBA qualification with 1–2 years of experience in ward administration or hospital coordination.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain ward files, patient records, admission papers, and discharge documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and front office teams.
• Track investigation requests, reports, discharge files, and pending documentation.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge, and patient movement coordination.
• Prepare ward registers, daily reports, forms, and department records.
• Handle patient and attendant queries related to ward process under guidance.
• Ensure patient files are updated with required forms, reports, and clinical documents.
• Follow up with departments for reports, approvals, billing updates, and discharge clearance.
• Use hospital software, computer systems, and office tools for daily work.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and hospital records.
• Report documentation gaps or service delays to seniors promptly.
• Support smooth and organized ward administration workflow.
