OT Nurse

The OT Nurse will provide operation theatre nursing support, patient preparation, sterile assistance, surgical support, documentation, and post-operative handover at Ramakrishna Multispeciality Hospital, Barasat. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0–1 year of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, instruments, sterile materials, and OT supplies for procedures.
• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and OT team during surgeries.
• Maintain sterile field, aseptic technique, and infection control practices.
• Verify patient identity, consent, surgical checklist, and procedure readiness.
• Support patient positioning, draping, shifting, and recovery handover.
• Maintain OT nursing notes, material usage records, and handover documentation.
• Coordinate with CSSD, biomedical, pharmacy, recovery, and ward teams.
• Report patient concerns, equipment issues, or sterile breaks immediately.
• Follow OT safety, PPE, biomedical waste, and hospital SOPs.
• Ensure safe and smooth OT nursing support.
