Job Description

The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient services, guiding patients through hospital processes, managing communication, supporting documentation, and ensuring a smooth care experience. This requires good communication skills, patient-friendly behavior, coordination ability, and basic knowledge of healthcare workflows. The candidate will work with doctors, nurses, front office, billing, diagnostics, and administration teams to improve patient satisfaction and service efficiency.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Guide patients and relatives regarding hospital services, departments, procedures, and care flow.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, consultations, investigations, admissions, and follow-up activities.
  • Act as a communication link between patients, doctors, nurses, billing, and support departments.
  • Assist patients with registration, documentation, reports, discharge process, and service queries.
  • Track patient movement and help reduce waiting time through timely coordination.
  • Provide accurate information about doctor availability, department process, and hospital facilities.
  • Handle patient concerns politely and escalate unresolved issues to seniors when required.
  • Coordinate with diagnostic, pharmacy, billing, insurance, and nursing teams for patient support.
  • Maintain patient interaction records, follow-up details, feedback notes, and daily coordination reports.
  • Support patient counselling related to hospital process without giving unauthorized medical advice.
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient information and follow hospital communication protocols.
  • Assist in explaining basic documentation requirements and service steps to patients.
  • Monitor pending patient requests and ensure timely closure through department coordination.
  • Support patient feedback collection and service improvement activities.
  • Create a positive patient experience through respectful, clear, and helpful communication.
