Technical Assistant - Engineering

The Technical Assistant - Executive - Engineering will support pharmaceutical engineering operations, machine maintenance, preventive maintenance, breakdown handling, utility support, equipment documentation, and GMP compliance at Torrent Pharma, Ahmedabad. This requires BE in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation with 1–5 years of engineering experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support maintenance activities for production equipment, utilities, and engineering systems.
• Assist in preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, calibration coordination, and equipment checks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation-related equipment issues as per expertise.
• Coordinate with production, packaging, QA, QC, warehouse, and engineering teams for maintenance support.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records, breakdown reports, equipment logs, and engineering documentation.
• Support installation, qualification, modification, and validation-related engineering activities when required.
• Monitor equipment performance, safety systems, utilities, and maintenance schedules.
• Follow GMP, safety, lockout-tagout, engineering SOPs, and documentation standards.
• Report recurring breakdowns, unsafe conditions, spare requirements, or process interruptions to seniors.
• Coordinate with vendors or service engineers for technical support when required.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline in engineering work areas.
• Ensure reliable equipment operation and minimum downtime in plant activities.
