OT Incharge

The OT Incharge will supervise operation theatre activities, surgery scheduling support, OT staff coordination, sterile discipline, instrument readiness, infection control, documentation, and smooth OT workflow at Krishna Surgical Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 5–7 years of OT experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise daily OT operations, surgery preparation, and operation theatre workflow.
• Coordinate surgery schedules with surgeons, anaesthesia team, nursing team, CSSD, and administration.
• Ensure OT rooms, instruments, equipment, implants, consumables, and emergency materials are ready before procedures.
• Monitor sterile practices, aseptic technique, OT cleaning, fumigation, and infection control compliance.
• Guide OT nurses, scrub nurses, technicians, and support staff during surgical activities.
• Ensure proper instrument count, sponge count, needle count, and checklist compliance.
• Maintain OT registers, surgical records, equipment logs, sterilization records, and stock documentation.
• Coordinate with CSSD, stores, pharmacy, biomedical, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
• Report equipment breakdown, instrument shortage, infection control issues, or OT delays to management.
• Support staff training, duty allocation, and OT discipline.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, consent coordination, and surgical readiness.
• Maintain efficient, safe, sterile, and well-organized operation theatre services.
