Production Officer

The Production Officer will be responsible for supervising and supporting daily production activities in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment. This involves monitoring process operations, coordinating manpower and materials, ensuring safety and GMP compliance, maintaining documentation, and achieving production targets. The candidate should have chemistry knowledge, production discipline, documentation accuracy, and the ability to coordinate with QA, QC, warehouse, and engineering teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities as per production plan and approved procedures.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are performed according to SOPs, safety rules, and quality standards.
• Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, time, speed, and yield.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and production resources for smooth batch execution.
• Verify material availability, equipment readiness, area cleanliness, and line clearance before production start.
• Review production records, logbooks, batch details, and process documentation for accuracy.
• Identify and report production deviations, equipment issues, yield variations, and process abnormalities.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, warehouse, maintenance, and engineering teams for production support.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and movement of raw materials and intermediates.
• Train operators and workers on SOPs, safety practices, documentation, and shop-floor discipline.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, housekeeping, and contamination control standards in production areas.
• Monitor manpower utilization, downtime, rejection, wastage, and production performance.
• Prepare daily production reports, shift summaries, and batch status updates.
• Support process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure assigned production targets are achieved without compromising quality or safety.
