Job Description
The Cardiologist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating disorders of the heart and cardiovascular system. The requires advanced clinical expertise, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to manage both routine and complex cardiac cases.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular diseases and conditions.
- Evaluate patients through clinical examination, history taking, and diagnostic testing.
- Interpret ECG, ECHO, stress tests, angiography, and other cardiac investigations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Perform and assist in cardiac procedures and interventional treatments when required.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Manage emergency cardiac cases such as heart attacks and arrhythmias.
- Provide consultation for inpatient and outpatient cardiac cases.
- Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle modifications for heart health.
- Collaborate with other specialists for comprehensive patient care.
- Guide and supervise junior doctors and medical staff in cardiac care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.
- Ensure timely follow-up and continuity of cardiac care.
- Educate patients and families about heart disease prevention and management.
- Participate in cardiac health camps, screenings, and awareness programs.
- Stay updated with advancements in cardiology and treatment techniques.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, SOPs, and clinical guidelines.
- Contribute to quality improvement and clinical audit programs.
- Maintain high standards of ethics, professionalism, and patient confidentiality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by hospital management.
