Infection Control Nurse ICN

The Infection Control Nurse will be responsible for infection prevention, surveillance, audits, hand hygiene monitoring, biomedical waste compliance, staff training, and infection control documentation at Surya Hospital, Pune. This requires 1–5 years of experience in nursing, infection control, administration, and hospital safety practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor infection control practices across wards, ICU, OT, OPD, and hospital units.
• Conduct hand hygiene audits, PPE checks, and infection prevention rounds.
• Track hospital-acquired infections and prepare surveillance reports.
• Train staff on infection control, biomedical waste, isolation, and hygiene practices.
• Coordinate with nursing, doctors, housekeeping, CSSD, OT, and quality teams.
• Support outbreak investigation, RCA, and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain infection control records, checklists, and audit documentation.
• Promote patient safety and infection-free hospital care environment.
