The Rotational Periodontist will focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases and conditions affecting the supporting structures of teeth. This requires flexibility to work in rotational shifts, strong clinical expertise, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat periodontal diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis.
- Perform scaling, root planing, and other non-surgical periodontal therapies.
- Conduct periodontal surgeries including flap surgery, bone grafting, and gum grafting.
- Manage dental implants and treat peri-implant diseases.
- Provide periodontal care across shifts to ensure continuous patient support.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient conditions.
- Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care.
- Evaluate gum health using clinical examination and diagnostic imaging.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment maintenance.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and clinical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
- Handle emergency periodontal cases during rotational duties.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists for comprehensive care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic.
- Stay updated with advancements in periodontology and implantology.
- Participate in case discussions, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate with dental assistants and support staff for smooth operations.
