Cover Doctor

The Cover Doctor will be responsible for attending to patients across wards, OPD, and emergency areas, supporting consultants, and ensuring uninterrupted medical services. This requires strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and the ability to work in a dynamic hospital environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide medical coverage across departments including wards, ICU, and emergency as required.
• Examine patients, take medical histories, and perform clinical assessments.

• Support consultants and specialists during patient management and procedures.

• Interpret diagnostic tests such as lab reports and imaging results.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and allied healthcare professionals for effective care delivery.
• Handle medico-legal cases with proper documentation and compliance.
• Provide patient and family counseling regarding treatment and progress.
• Ensure infection control and patient safety practices are followed.
• Work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and emergency duties.
• Adapt quickly to different departments and clinical scenarios.
