Ward Boy

The Ward Boy will be responsible for assisting nursing staff, supporting patient movement, maintaining ward cleanliness, helping with basic patient care activities, and ensuring smooth ward operations at Magnum Multispeciality Hospital, Nashik. This requires 10th pass qualification with 1–2 years of experience, discipline, hygiene awareness, physical fitness, teamwork, and patient-friendly behavior.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist nurses in patient shifting, positioning, and basic ward support activities.
• Help move patients to laboratory, radiology, OT, ICU, ward, and other departments safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and arrangement of ward areas, beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
• Support patient hygiene, linen changes, and basic comfort care under supervision.
• Carry samples, reports, medicines, documents, and hospital materials as instructed.
• Assist during admission, transfer, discharge, and emergency patient movement.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, and biomedical waste guidelines.
• Report patient discomfort, spills, shortages, or safety concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and polite behavior with patients and relatives.
• Ensure availability and proper placement of wheelchairs, stretchers, and basic ward items.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, nursing, and support departments.
• Support doctors and nurses during emergency movement or patient assistance when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and respectful behavior in patient care areas.
• Follow hospital instructions and supervisor guidance during duty hours.
• Support smooth, safe, and hygienic ward functioning.
