Job Description
The Officer – QC will be responsible for conducting analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, packaging materials, and finished products in compliance with approved specifications and regulatory guidelines. The involves operating laboratory instruments, maintaining documentation, supporting investigations, and ensuring adherence to GLP/GMP standards. The candidate will contribute to maintaining product quality, laboratory efficiency, and regulatory compliance across quality control operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Ensure timely and accurate testing as per approved specifications and SOPs.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and analytical equipment.
- Perform calibration and routine maintenance of QC instruments.
- Prepare and maintain analytical reports, records, and laboratory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, and regulatory quality standards.
- Review analytical results and report out-of-specification (OOS) findings promptly.
- Support investigation of deviations, OOS, and quality-related issues.
- Maintain inventory of chemicals, reagents, standards, and laboratory consumables.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of laboratory materials.
- Coordinate with QA, production, and regulatory departments for quality-related activities.
- Participate in method validation, method transfer, and stability studies when required.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of laboratory records.
- Prepare MIS reports and quality summaries for management review.
- Assist in implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in QC operations.
- Monitor environmental conditions and ensure compliance within the laboratory.
- Stay updated with analytical techniques, regulatory updates, and industry best practices.
