Lab Technician

The Lab Technician will support sample collection, sample processing, diagnostic testing, laboratory documentation, quality control, equipment handling, and report coordination at Shivam Multispeciality Hospital. This requires DMLT or MLT qualification with laboratory workflow knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, label, and process patient samples as per laboratory SOPs.
• Perform routine pathology, hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, and assigned lab tests.
• Verify patient details, sample type, test request, and labeling before processing.
• Maintain test records, sample registers, worksheets, equipment logs, and documentation.
• Support internal quality control, calibration, and routine equipment maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, reception, sample collection, and reporting teams.
• Report abnormal findings, rejected samples, sample mismatch, or technical issues to seniors promptly.
• Follow biosafety, infection control, PPE, and biomedical waste management standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and safe working practices in the laboratory.
• Ensure proper handling of reagents, samples, instruments, and consumables.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate report coordination.
