Cath-Lab Technician

Vijaya Hospital is seeking a skilled and attentive Cath-Lab Technician to assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cath-lab equipment, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the clinical team during procedures such as angiography and angioplasty.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the catheterization laboratory and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
• Assist cardiologists during procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, and other cardiac interventions
• Operate imaging equipment and monitor patient vitals throughout procedures
• Ensure proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed in the cath-lab
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and explaining basic instructions
• Handle and maintain cath-lab instruments, devices, and consumables
• Monitor and record procedural data and patient information accurately
• Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in life-saving procedures when required
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain inventory of cath-lab supplies and ensure timely availability
