Bio Medical Engineer

Vijaya Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Bio Medical Engineer to manage, maintain, and support all biomedical equipment and healthcare technology systems within the hospital. The candidate will ensure that all medical devices function efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards, contributing to seamless clinical operations and high-quality patient care.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Install, test, calibrate, and maintain biomedical equipment such as ventilators, patient monitors, imaging systems, and diagnostic devices
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize breakdowns
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and service reports
• Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and healthcare regulations
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment servicing, repairs, and AMC management
• Assist in the evaluation, selection, and procurement of new biomedical equipment
• Provide technical guidance and basic training to medical and nursing staff on equipment usage
• Monitor performance of medical devices and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary
• Support audits and ensure proper documentation of all biomedical engineering activities
