House Keeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily housekeeping operations, ensuring compliance with hygiene protocols, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all areas including wards, ICUs, OTs, OPD, and common spaces. This requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and knowledge of hospital sanitation and infection control practices. The candidate must ensure efficient use of resources, proper waste management, and adherence to regulatory standards such as NABH.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage housekeeping staff and daily cleaning operations.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in all hospital areas including wards, ICUs, OTs, OPDs, corridors, and public spaces.
• Implement and monitor infection control and sanitation protocols.
• Prepare duty rosters and allocate tasks to housekeeping staff.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Ensure proper cleaning procedures using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain stock of cleaning materials, consumables, and equipment.
• Ensure proper segregation and disposal of biomedical and general waste.
• Coordinate with infection control and quality teams for compliance.
• Train housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety practices, and hygiene standards.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by housekeeping staff.
• Handle complaints related to cleanliness and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain records of cleaning schedules, checklists, and logs.
• Ensure readiness and cleanliness of patient rooms before admissions.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for repairs and upkeep.
• Monitor pest control activities and ensure effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to NABH and hospital policies related to housekeeping.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and grooming standards of staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Ensure safety standards and accident prevention measures are followed.
• Manage linen inventory and coordinate with laundry services.
• Ensure high standards of hospitality and patient satisfaction.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper documentation for compliance and reporting.
• Work efficiently in shifts and manage workload during peak hours.
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth facility operations.
• Maintain cleanliness in critical areas such as OTs and ICUs as per protocols.
• Implement cost control measures and minimize wastage.
