Pharmacist

Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medicines accurately, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and ensuring safe and effective pharmaceutical services for patients. The involves reviewing prescriptions, explaining medication usage, monitoring stock and expiry management, coordinating with healthcare teams, and maintaining pharmacy records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescribed medicines accurately as per doctor prescriptions and hospital guidelines.
• Explain dosage instructions, medication usage, side effects, and storage precautions to patients.
• Review prescriptions for dosage accuracy, drug interactions, and patient safety concerns.
• Maintain stock of medicines, surgical items, ophthalmic drugs, and pharmacy consumables.
• Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely removal or replacement of expired medicines.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines as per pharmaceutical standards.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and purchase departments regarding medicine availability.
• Handle pharmacy billing activities and maintain accurate entries in pharmacy software systems.
• Maintain daily pharmacy reports, stock records, and dispensing documentation.
• Conduct regular stock verification and support inventory reconciliation activities.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and safety guidelines.
