Senior Resident - Surgical Oncology

Senior Resident - Surgical Oncology is responsible for supporting surgical oncology consultants in patient evaluation, cancer surgery planning, inpatient care, post-operative management, and clinical documentation. The requires MS, DNB, or MCh Surgical Oncology preferred qualification with 0 to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of oncology, surgical care, patient management, and hospital clinical workflow.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist consultants in surgical oncology patient care.
• Evaluate OPD and admitted oncology patients under supervision.
• Support pre-operative assessment and surgical planning.
• Assist during oncology procedures and surgical care activities.
• Monitor post-operative recovery and patient condition.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes, prescriptions, and procedure records.
• Review investigation reports and update consultants when required.
• Coordinate with OT, anesthesia, ICU, nursing, and diagnostics teams.
• Counsel patients and attendants about basic treatment instructions.
• Support emergency management for surgical oncology patients.
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in case discussions and clinical rounds.
• Ensure proper documentation of consent and surgical care records.
• Support quality and audit-related clinical documentation.
• Deliver ethical and patient-focused oncology care.
