OT Assistant

The OT Assistant will support operation theatre preparation, patient shifting, surgical material arrangement, OT cleaning assistance, instrument support, and daily OT workflow at Magnum Group of Hospitals, Nashik. This requires OT discipline, infection control awareness, and ability to support surgical teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist OT team in preparing operation theatre before and after procedures.
• Support patient shifting, stretcher movement, wheelchair movement, and positioning assistance.
• Help arrange OT materials, consumables, surgical trays, linen, and required equipment.
• Coordinate with OT nurses, OT technicians, CSSD, housekeeping, nursing, and support staff.
• Assist in cleaning, disinfection, waste movement, and OT area readiness as per instructions.
• Carry reports, files, instruments, medicines, samples, and hospital materials when required.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, biomedical waste, and OT safety instructions.
• Report patient movement needs, material shortage, cleaning issues, or urgent requirements to seniors.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and polite behavior during support activities.
• Support emergency OT readiness and surgical workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and safety inside OT areas.
• Support safe, disciplined, and timely operation theatre workflow.
