Clinical Assistant

The Clinical Assistant will support doctors and consultants in patient care, clinical documentation, examination preparation, and routine hospital workflow. This is suitable for BHMS or BAMS candidates with basic clinical knowledge and a strong interest in hospital-based patient care. The candidate will assist in OPD, ward, and clinical coordination activities while ensuring accurate records, patient comfort, timely communication, and adherence to hospital care protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist doctors and consultants during patient examination, treatment, and clinical procedures.
• Record patient history, vital signs, symptoms, and clinical observations accurately.
• Support OPD, ward, and inpatient care activities as per doctor instructions.
• Prepare patients for examination, consultation, minor procedures, and follow-up visits.
• Coordinate with nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and billing teams for patient services.
• Maintain patient files, clinical records, investigation reports, and treatment documentation.
• Explain basic care instructions, follow-up schedules, and prescribed processes to patients.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes or concerns to doctors promptly.
• Assist in arranging medical instruments, examination materials, and clinical supplies.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and respectful communication during clinical interactions.
• Support emergency response activities under the guidance of doctors and senior staff.
• Follow hospital protocols related to infection control, hygiene, safety, and patient care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and clinical records.
• Help improve clinical workflow by ensuring timely coordination and documentation.
• Participate in training, departmental meetings, and quality improvement activities when required.
