Staff Nurse - ICU

The Staff Nurse - ICU will provide critical care nursing, patient monitoring, medication administration, oxygen and ventilator care support, emergency response, documentation, and compassionate patient care at Vijay Super Speciality Hospital, Dharmapuri. This requires DGNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0–1 year of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor vital signs, ECG, oxygen saturation, intake-output, pain score, and patient condition.
• Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, oxygen, and prescribed ICU nursing care safely.
• Assist doctors during ICU rounds, emergency procedures, dressing, resuscitation, and critical care activities.
• Maintain ICU charts, nursing notes, medication records, intake-output records, and handover documentation.
• Support oxygen therapy, suctioning, catheter care, patient positioning, and pressure sore prevention under guidance.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, isolation, and biomedical waste management protocols.
• Report abnormal vitals, patient deterioration, critical lab values, or clinical changes immediately.
• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, and patient care teams.
• Support ICU admission, transfer, discharge, shifting, and emergency patient movement activities.
• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
• Deliver safe, alert, ethical, and compassionate ICU nursing care.
